De Bruyne to extend his contract with Manchester City

CAIRO – 20 December 2017: Manchester City`s board of directors has launched its main mission: to extend contracts for their important players for a long time. And for that, the club owners from Abu Dhabi are going to have to shell out a lot of money.

With the new arrival news of the officials` desire to turn Pep Guardiola into a new Sir Alex Ferguson, former Manchester United`s coach, of Etihad Stadium, the 'citizens', Manchester City`s nickname, want to go further.

As the British newspaper ‘The Telegraph’ advances, the club has offered a tempting contract to its jewel of the squad, Kevin De Bruyne.

The Belgian player is about to sign a new agreement that would make him one of the highest paid. The renovation of De Bruyne`s contract would be for six seasons (until 2023) and would receive a salary that would be around €18 million ($21 million) per year, in addition to a follow-up of incentives.

City is willing to pay a lot of money to have the best squad and ensure their leadership of the English football, without leaving options to other clubs.

If De Bruyne renewed his contract for the English team, other greats such as Barcelona, Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germian would see obstacles in their interest to take over the player.

De Bruyne led Guardiola’s team to top the Premier League table with 52 points. They are 11 points ahead of the second-placed Manchester United.

The former Chelsea player, who helped Belgium qualify for next year's World Cup in Russia, has scored six goals in the league this season with eight assists.
