CAIRO – 18 December 2017 : Everton young striker, Dominic Calvert-Lewin found himself sharing Everton’s attacking line with one of the best English strikers in the history, Wayne Rooney after Everton signed him from Manchester United.

“I was over the moon when I heard he was coming in and I'd be lying if I didn't say I was a bit in awe when he first came in, as any young footballer would be," Calvert-Lewin told FourFourTwo magazine on Monday.

Calvert-Lewin, 20 joined Everton in 2016 from Sheffield United and he established himself as the first choice in his position.

“He's helped me quite a lot actually and you need all the help you can get as a young centre-forward in the Premier League. He's taught me a lot about positioning and body shape that has made the game easier,” Calvert-Lewin spoke about Rooney’s impact on him.

Calvert-Lewin played 12 games scoring two goals providing four assists to form a destructive attacking line with Rooney who scored 9 goals for the club in the League.
