CAIRO –17 December 2017: Manchester United came out with three points out of the Hawthorns Stadium, where they beat West Bromwich (1-2) in the 18th round of the English Premier League.
United is still recovering from their defeat (0-2) against Manchester City in the 16th round, when Manchester City expanded the gap to eleven points ahead of Manchester United.
In the 30th minute, Romelu Lukaku took the lead when he headed the ball after a cross from the English midfielder, Marcus Rashford.
Five minutes later, Jesse Lingard extended the visitors’ advantage when he scored the second goal.
United did not go through troubles against West Bromwich, who has accumulated 15 games without winning.
West Bromwich won the first two matches of the Premier League and then plummeted.
However, Bromwich took advantage of the Manchester’s lethargy found possibilities to score a goal in the 77th minute, when a cross from Jonny Evans, Bromwich`s defender, was used by Bromwich midfielder Gareth Barry to beat United’s goalkeeper, David De Gea.
United then controlled the game and took the three points to keep themselves in the second place at the Premier league’s table.
