CAIRO – 17 December 2017: “Match Hospitality”, the sole FIFA VIP ticket partner, is launching their packages in Cairo through their authorized sole agents.
An Egyptian alliance featuring Prime Tours and Bookurstar has won the bid for exclusive World Cup VIP tickets.
On Monday evening, Cairo hosted a mega event hosting Pascal Portes, CEO of “Match Hospitality.” The company is the official FIFA partner for VIP packages otherwise known as “Hospitality Packages” for four consecutive world cups. Also in attendance was Nadin Deraz, the marketing manager for Europe and Africa.
Portes announced during the event that an Egyptian alliance featuring Prime Tours & Bookurstar has landed the bid to become the exclusive agent for Hospitality packages inside Egypt. He also announced the official launch of packages starting sales for fans eager to follow the participation of the Egyptian National Team in Russia this summer.
The high profile event also featured FIFA World Cup Ambassador, Victoria Lapyreva, previously named Miss Russia 2003. In attendance as well was the Minister of Finance Amr el-Garhy, President of the Tourism Development Authority Hisham Eldemeiry, President of Al Ahly Club Mahmoud El Khatib alongside his VP El-Amery Farouk. Notable actors and media figures attending included Magdy Abdel Ghany, Ahmed el-Sakka, Tamer Hagras and Mahmoud Mosallam.
Portes commented that he believes that this will be the best World Cup ever organized given the experience the Russians had organizing the 2017 FIFA confederations Cup. He also noted that the qualifying teams this year give a different flavor as some of them are making it after a very long wait, which will reflect on increased fan attendance and participation. Additionally, he wished the best for the Egyptian National team and for that of his own country, the French national team.
Portes introduced during the event the packages that Match Hospitality are rolling out through their Egyptian agents. The packages offer options for either single match attendance, two matches or all three of the group games that Egypt is going to play.
Portes further explained that there are various packages designed within each theme depending on the desired tickets purchased; noting that ticket prices start at $595 but availability is variable depending on the game. He also gave the example of the match between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, which holds unprecedented demand and is considered a national event in Saudi Arabia.
Mohamed Talaat, head of Bookurstar, said that the Egyptian alliance realizes the immense responsibility it is under to bring out the best possible Egyptian World Cup participation. He promised the best offers and packages for Egyptian fans, which he said guarantees the largest Egyptian attendance in World Cup history.
Tamer Wagih, CEO of Prime Group, said that the demand for reservations and tickets has kicked off in an unprecedented frenzy ever since the roll out in Egypt started. He also noted that some ticket classes are already running out of stock.
Wagid said that the most important achievement was an Egyptian alliance landing the deal, which would consequently make the packages available without sky rocketing profit margins. He also announced that the alliance has inked a deal with all leading Egyptian Tourism companies to secure hotel reservations in all three cities hosting the primary Egyptian matches, one that also includes deals for international and domestic flights.
Lopereva said that she is visiting Egypt for the first time, accomplishing her childhood dream to visit the pyramids as she has always been fascinated by the Egyptian civilization.
Lopereva said her visit aims to invite Egyptian fans to come to Russia and support the Egyptian team in the World Cup organized across 11 Russian cities rich with history and culture.
Additionally, she announced that any Egyptian fan in possession of a ticket, a fan card and a passport is welcome to come to Russia without requiring a visa, cheering in the World Cup playing this year under the slogan of “Non Discrimination.”
