CAIRO – 16 December 2017: Real Madrid faces Brazil’s Gremio on December 16 at Zayed Sports City Stadium, Abu Dhabi in the FIFA Club World Cup final at 7:00 p.m. (CLT).
Real Madrid qualified for the final by defeating Al-Jazira 2-1. Gremio also qualified by beating Mexico’s Pachuca 1-0.
Real Madrid`s victory over Gremio will be a new record for the Spanish giants as they never achieved more than four titles in the same year.
The white team is chasing their fifth title this year as they ended 2016/2017 season by winning the Spanish League`s title after a tough race with Barcelona. The white team won the UEFA Champions League`s title after thrashing Juventus 4-1, then they won the Spanish Super Cup after beating Barcelona (5-1) on aggregate, and finally they won the UEFA Super Cup after defeating Manchester United 2-0.
Real Madrid is looking to be the first team in the history of football who maintain the FIFA Club World Cup title two times in a row.
The Royal Club achieved the FIFA Club World Cup`s title last year by beating Kashima Antlers 4-2, and they are looking to repeat this achievement.
