CAIRO – 3 December 2017: Benevento added this Sunday the first point in the team’s history in Serie A, drawing 2-2 against Milan's new coach Gennaro Gattuso, with a goal from goalkeeper Alberto Brignoli in the last minute.

After experiencing the worst start in the history of the five major European leagues, with 14 defeats in the first 14 rounds, Benevento got its first draw in the Italian top division.

Under Gattuso’s coaching, Vincenzo Montella was dismissed on Monday and Milan scored twice with the help of Giacomo Bonaventura and the Croatian Nikola Kalinic. However, the score was soon equalized by Rumanian George Puscas’s goal and then Benevento’s goalkeeper.

Gattuso's 3-4-3, with an offensive trident made up of Spain's Suso, Bonaventua and Kalinic, created many opportunities. However, Milan continued the match with only 10 players, following the expulsion of Alessio Romagnoli during the last few minutes.

The 'Rossoneri' took advantage in the 38th with a header by Bonaventura and, after receiving the equalizer of Puscas in the 55th, they came back ahead by a header from Kalinic.
