CAIRO – 1 December 2017: Egypt’s national team manager, Hector Cuper, will represent Egypt at 2018 World Cup draw alongside 10 Egyptian sports figures. The draw will be held on Friday at 5:00 p.m. (Cairo Time) at State Kremlin Palace, Moscow.
Cuper will lead Egypt’s delegation alongside Minister of Youth and Sports Khaled Abdel Aziz, Egyptian Football Federation (EFA) President Hany Abo Rida, Presentation Company President Mohamed Kamel, Egypt’s National Team Assistant Manager Mahmoud Fayez, National Team Managing Director Ehab Lehita, former National Team Captain Ahmed Hassan and EFA members Ahmed Megahed, Magdy Abdel Ghany and Karam Kordy.
FIFA also invited former manager and national team captain, Hossam Hasssan to attend the ceremony.
Egypt qualified to 2018 World Cup in Russia after they topped group E at 2018 African World Cup Qualifiers.
Egypt returned to participate in the tournament after 28 years of absence as they last played in the World Cup in 1990 in Italy.
