CAIRO – 1 December 2017: Real Madrid, the current champion, has registered its players, including youth team goalkeeper Moha Ramos, for the Club World Cup hosted in the United Arab Emirates which will be held in December.
Zinedine Zidane will start with his mainstay of players except for the third goalkeeper, Luca Zidane, who is recovering from an operation. To fill his place, the young Moha Ramos has been brought in.
Now that the list of participating teams has been announced, which includes the Brazilian Gremio, who triumphed over the Argentinian Lanus in the final of the Copa Libertadores, FIFA has announced the official rosters of the seven participating teams.
Along with the stars of Real Madrid, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, Gremio's squad includes players such as Luan Guilherme, Arthur Henrique Ramos, Paraguayan veteran Lucas Barrios and goalkeeper Marcelo Ghohe.
The Mexican team, Pachuca, although one of their star players, Hirving Lozano transferred to PSV Eindhoven, comes to the Club World Cup with a well-armed squad, including the Argentine striker Franco Jara, scorer of six goals in the CONCACAF Champions League, and the Japanese Keisuke Sling.
Auckland City from New Zealand will make their ninth appearance in the Club World Cup; their squad includes veteran players such as the Spanish Ángel Berlanga and the Argentinean Emiliano Tade, as well as some international Kiwis such as the young Clayton Lewis.
