CAIRO – 30 November 2017 : Real Madrid’s Spanish midfielder, Fransisco Alarcon, known as Isco, praised his manager, Zinedine Zidane, as he is the first Real Madrid manager to play him in his favorite position.
“He (Zidane) has been the only Madrid coach to have played me in my position and I'm very happy to have restored my confidence on the pitch," Isco told Fox Sport Italia on Wednesday.
Isco, 25, joined Real Madrid in 2013 from Malaga. He played under Real Madrid’s former Italian manager, Carlo Ancelotti, and former Real Madrid Spanish manager Rafael Benítez before playing under Zidane.
Isco spoke about Zidane’s impact on him, saying, “Zidane has given me the chance to be important.”
Isco found his way to Madrid’s starting eleven since Zidane managed the club in 2016 and he became a real participant in Madrid’s successes in recent years.
Isco won under Zidane with two Champions League titles in 2016 and 2017, and he played in both finals against Atletico Madrid and Juventus, respectively.
