CAIRO – 28 November 2017: Misr El Makkasa defeated Zamakek 3-1 on Monday night at Cairo Stadium in the Egyptian League.

Misr El Makkasa opened the scoring only three minutes from the start through their Ghanaian striker, John Antwi, after Zamalek’s defense failed to clear the ball out of their area.

Zamalek’s Syrian defender, Moayad Al Ajan, equalized the score for Zamalek seven minutes before the half time through a free kick.

Antwi gave Zamalek players only five minutes to celebrate, as he scored the second goal for Misr El Makkasa after a beautiful play from his teammates, ending the first half 2-1.

The second half started with multiple chances from Zamalek players to equalize the score through their sriker Kabongo Kasongo, who scored a goal, but it was disallowed by the referee.

Misr El Makkasa scored the third goal in the additional time after Hussein El Shahat dribbled Zamalek’s goalkeeper, Ahmed El Shenawi, to secure the three points for his team.

Zamalek stayed in third place with 18 points, while Misr El Makkasa reached 12 points to be in ninth place.
