CAIRO – 27 November 2017: "We do not have a magic solution," Borussia Dortmund's executive director, Joachim Watzke, said on Sunday during the club's general meeting.
He confirmed that Peter Bosz will continue on the bench as a coach despite the incredible 4-4 draw against Schalke.
After two months of serious sports crisis, Dortmund bottomed out in the derby, when they were leading 4-0 at halftime; but in the second half, Schalke scored four goals.
Despite the fans' rage, Watzke did not announce the dismissal of the Dutch coach, as many expected.
"I have never experienced anything like this, the problem is that we do not have a magic solution," the executive director said.
"I hope that this week we put things in their place, and that everything is examined in detail, without any taboo. We must return to the path of triumph; this is a 100 percent certainty," he added.
In two months Dortmund has been eliminated from the Champions League and has achieved two points in six Bundesliga games, falling from the first place to the fifth.
In June 2017, Bosz replaced former Borussia coach Thomas Tuchel who left the club after two years.
Bosz took Ajax to the 2017 UEFA Europa League final where they lost against Manchester United.
