Mortada Mansour wins presidential elections of Zamalek club – Zamalek’s Website
CAIRO – 25 November 2017: Mortada Mansour will be at the helm of Zamalek Sporting Club for another four years after receiving the majority of votes in the club’s board of directors election that ended on Friday.
The 65 year-old Mansour garnered 26, 541 votes, while his rival Ahmed Suleiman earned 16,094 votes, according to the committee that oversaw the election process.
During his tenure, Zamalek was crowned as champions of the Premier League 2014/2015, which was considered a remarkable comeback after a long time of no significant accomplishments.
The popular Zamalek club came third in the last Primer league competition.
Being one of the major and most popular clubs in Egypt, national team players are mostly drawn from Zamalek and Al-Ahly clubs.
