CAIRO – 24 November 2017: Egyptian players condemned the Arish mosque attack on their official account on Twitter.

Mohamed El-Nenny, Arsenal’s midfielder, tweeted his condolences: “Terrorism didn’t need to target a mosque to prove that it has no religion. 235 martyrs were acquitted from the mosque to heaven in their blessed gathering, leaving ours sadly, we had enough bloodshed, enough killing innocent souls, enough terrorism.”

Mohamed Abou Trika, former Al-Ahly legend, expressed his sadness and tweeted: “God bless Al-Rouda`s mosque martyrs, God save our country Egypt.”

Mohamed Salah, Liverpool`s winger, tweeted: “My sincere condolences to the Egyptian people and to all the families of martyrs of Al-Arish Mosque “

A number of militants stormed Al-Rawdah mosque in west Arish City during Friday prayers, and detonated an explosive device. The mosque was damaged as a result of the bombing.
