Egypt Rally announces ‘Sahl Hashish Rally 2017’

CAIRO – 22 November 2017: Egypt Rally announced that their next event, “Sahl Hashish Rally 2017”, will be held at Sahl Hashish on the Red Sea coast on November 24 and 25.

Egypt Rally stated in an official statement on their official Facebook account, “We are proud to present our latest event, our rally raid taking place in Sahl Hasheesh on Friday November 24th and Saturday November 25th 2017! See you all there!”

Egypt Rally started in 2009, when a group of racers and 4x4 enthusiasts decided to take desert rally racing in Egypt to a higher and more professional level. This group established the “Rally School”, with the coordination of the Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt, to introduce the rally sport to new racers and to share all the safety and technical information about rally racing. Since then, both national and international rallies have had many Rally School graduates participate. In addition, many of the organization’s volunteers are Rally School graduates.

National rallies started in 2009, with an average of two to three rallies per season, in order to train racers and gain experience to compete professionally in international rallies. Many Egyptian teams have participated, achieved and got ranked in many international rallies and Cross Country Rally World Championships.
