CAIRO – 18 November 2017: Egypt`s World Cup tickets ran out just 15 minutes after the second stage of Phase 1 was opened on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. (Cairo local time).

FIFA had announced previously this month that the second stage of the first phase to reserve World Cup tickets – on a first-come first-serve basis – would open on Thursday, November 16 and end on November 28 after the first stage; a random selection draw ended on October 12.

While tickets reserved for Egypt – which is among the biggest football countries in the world, have run out so quickly – there is still a chance to reserve tickets for other countries like Saudi Arabia, Croatia, Denmark, South Korea, Senegal and Nigeria.

There will still be another phase, which will take place after the World Cup draw on December 1. The next phase will open on December 5 at 11:00 a.m. (CLT).
