7 players scored a hat-trick twice a season before Shahat

CAIRO –17 November 2017: In Egyptian league history, Hussein Al-Shahat became the eighth player to score a hat-trick twice in a season in the Egyptian league.

The Al-Makassa player scored a hat-trick against Tanta in the match that ended 3-3, before scoring another one against Wadi Degla in the match that ended 3-3 as well.

The other 7 players who scored hat-trick twice in one season in the Egyptian League are:
-El-Sayed El-Dhizui is the first player who did it in the 1948/49 season, where he scored twice against Al- itthad and Ismaily.

-Tersana’s Hassan Al-Shazli scored a hat-trick against Ismaily and Suez in 1964/1965.

- Hassan Al-Shazli, the 10 hat-tricks scorer in the history of the Egyptian league, did it again after 10 years, against Mansoura, Aviation Sporting Club as well as Damietta, to be the first player to score 3 hat-tricks in a season.

- Mahmoud Al-Khatib scored hat-tricks against Tanta and Factory 37 in the 1975/1976 season.

- In 1980/1981, Mosaad Al-Sakka scored the hat-trick twice against Koroum and Esco.

- Nigerian Emmanuel Amunike scored a hat-trick in two successive rounds against Tanta and Mahalla in the last two rounds of the 1992/93 season.

- The Ghanaian Cowapina Yaro scored twice for El-Entag El-Harby against Al-itthad and Petrojet in the 2013/2014 season.

- Arafa El Sayed scored against Al-Masry and Al-Makassa in 2014/2015.
