CAIRO –16 November 2017:There are some players that are difficult to hate; Paul Scholes is one of those players without a doubt. He is respected and admired by everyone, whether they are a fan of Manchester United and England or not.

Scholes, as a midfielder, has a unique style in the middle of the pitch. He had many achievements with the Red Devils, most notably winning the Premier League title 11 times, and being one of Ferguson's main players for 19 seasons at Old Trafford.

Highlights of what was said about Paul Scholes:

Real Madrid’s coach Zidane said, according to the Daily Mail, “It's only natural to want to select your best players and there is no doubt for me that Paul Scholes is still in a class of his own.”

Metro reported that former Arsenal striker Henry said, “If I had a Paul Scholes in my team, everything would be around him. At Manchester United, they saw it like that, but I think Paul Scholes is one of the best I’ve played against in this league and seen anywhere.”

Xavi, former Barcelona player told the Daily Mail, “In the last 15 to 20 years the best central midfielder that I have seen, the most complete, is Scholes. I have spoken with Xavi Alonso about this many times. Scholes is a spectacular player who has everything.”

Former Barcelona player Gudjohnsen said, according to the Mirror, “I’m more an admirer of Paul Scholes than I am of Ronaldo. Ronaldo is a fantastic player, but he has 10 other great players around him every week…Scholes is one of the most complete footballers I’ve ever seen. His one-touch play is phenomenal. Whenever I have played against him, I never felt I could get close to him.”

He never won the Golden Ball and appeared in the best FIFA XI only twice. He never earned the recognition he deserved as a memorable addition to the midfield, forcing everyone to respect him and recognize him as a delightful person.
