CAIRO – 9 November 2017: Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero said he could leave the club when his contract ends in 2019 to play for Independiente in Argentina.
"It came out that Milan and Real Madrid wanted me and - I don't know where I read it - but they said, 'They just spoiled Independiente's dream'," Aguero told reporters.
"But the idea was always to go back to Independiente when my contract with City runs out in 2019. I have an option to extend one more year with City, where it's the priority but it's always an option."
Aguero, 29, joined the club in July 2011 from Spain’s Atletico Madrid for €45 million ($52.5 million).
His most important goal with the team was a late goal in Man City’s 3-2 victory over Queens Park Rangers F.C. in the last fixture of the 2012 Premier League, securing the title for the team.
