CAIRO – 6 November 2017: Cristiano Ronaldo, star of Real Madrid, has been left out of the squad list of Portugal for the next friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and the United States of America on November 10 and 14, respectively.

Fernando Santos, Portugal’s coach, has commented that he wants to give the opportunity to young players in these friendly matches to see how they move in the team.

Fernando Santos has summoned FC Barcelona defender, Nelson Semedo, as André Gomes, although he is injured.

The first match will be played against Saudi Arabia on November 10 at the Municipal Stadium of Fontelo, in Viseu, Portugal.

The second game against the United States will be on November 14 at the Municipal Stadium in the city of Leiria "Dr. Magalhaes," Portugal.

Ronaldo and Portugal clinched an automatic berth in next year's World Cup with a 2-0 win over Switzerland in the last round of 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

Forwards: André Silva (Milan), Bruma (RB Leipzig), Eder (Lokomotiv), Gelson Martins (Sporting), Goncalo Guedes (Valencia) and Rony Lopes (Monaco).
