CAIRO – 4 November 2017: Kevin De Bruyne, one of the many stars in Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, is living through his best moment with the English team.
In an interview with Sky Sports, the Belgian midfielder said he enjoyed playing with the “Citizens” a lot. "Since Pep came to the club, he plays a style of football I like to play, so it makes it easy as a player," De Bruyne said.
Manchester City paid Wolfsburg €58 million ($67 million) in 2015 for the transfer of De Bruyne, who signed a six-season contract. Since his arrival, the Belgian midfielder has been one of the Premier League’s most outstanding players, scoring 25 goals and 45 assists in 104 games.
The 26-years-old said, "I like it here; it is the perfect environment, and since I came here, there has been a lot of trust in me. I like the project they are doing from the moment I came here.”
"There was an older team (when I first arrived). They did a lot of transfers – a lot of young people – they are building for the future... I am really happy here and I see myself being a long time here," he added.
Manchester City, the unbeaten leader in the Premier League, will meet Arsene Wenger's Arsenal in the next round. De Bruyne talked about the match, saying, "It is a very important one again. We have Arsenal, and United have Chelsea, so there are a lot of things that can happen again."
"If we win that game, it means that somebody else is also going to lose points against Arsenal,” De Bruyne added.
