CAIRO – 1 November 2017: Moroccan officials announced on Wednesday that 10,000 police personnel will secure the game between Al-Ahly and Wydad Casablanca in the second leg of the CAF Champions League final.

Ahead of the game, security forces intensified tight security measures, as the game is very important and many fans are expected to support Wydad in the game.

The Moroccan Football Federation announced that the game tickets sold out within hours.

Wydad manager Houcine Ammouta calmed Wydad fans about the absence of their star Mohamed Ounnajem, saying, “It will not have a major effect on us. We could use Abdeladim Khadrouf, who substituted Ounnajem in the first leg.”

Ammouta added, “I can also use Mohammed Aoulad, as he is so skillful and he can help is in Staurday’s game.”

Al-Ahly ended the Champions League final first leg against Wydad with a 1-1 draw. Al-Ahly scored after two minutes with a goal by Moamen Zakaria, and Wydad equalized in the 16th minute by Achraf Bencharki.
