Taher leads Al-Ahly delegation in Morocco

CAIRO - 31 October 2017: Al-Ahly president Mahmoud Taher will lead the Al-Ahly delegation to Morocco on Wednesday night ahead of the Wydad Casablanca clash in the CAF Champions League final’s second leg.

Taher decided to join the players in support of their efforts to win the title and qualify to the FIFA Club World Cup.

Al-Ahly cancelled Tuesday’s training after fans attended in huge numbers to support the team, and some of them invaded the pitch to support the players.

Al-Ahly manager Hossam El Badry spoke after the training. He said, “We cancelled the training to keep everyone safe. I really appreciate what the fans did today to support us before the Wydad game. I promise to do everything to return to Cairo with the title.”

Al-Ahly needs to win or draw with a result higher than 1-1 to win the title, as the first leg at Borg El Arab Stadium ended with a 1-1 draw.
