CAIRO – 30 October 2017: Juventus beat AC Milan 2-0 in the 11th round of the Italian league on Saturday, but Vincenzo Montella will continue to serve as Milan’s team manager.
Milan officials have renewed their confidence in Montella after losing to Juventus in the league, according to press reports in Italy.
Several close sources to Milan officials confirmed that the Italian coach will continue as a manager and will not be sacked, the most important Italian network Sky Sports revealed.
Montella met with Massimilano Mirabelli, the club's sports director, and Marco Vassoni, the club's chief executive, in a three-hour meeting following Juventus's game. Montella was told that the administration trusts him and will continue to focus on the next league matches until December.
Milan have won only once since the sixth round of the Serie A against Chievo in the tenth round with a 4-1 win.
Montella managed Milan from the summer of 2016. He coached the Italian giants in 59 games, won in 31 of those, drew in 11 and lost 17 times.
