Puel to convince Mahrez to stay in Leicester

CAIRO – 29 October 2017 : Leicester City’s new manager, Claude Puel, hopes to convince the team’s biggest star Riyad Mahrez to stay in the club.

“It is down to me to make these players want to stay. By the fact we are playing good football, I have always got to attract them, to seduce them.” Puel told the press on Sunday.
Leicester City board appointed Puel the new team coach to replace the sacked manager, Craig Shakespeare.

Puel said “it is down to me to create that environment where these players want to thrive and stay and be happy and to enjoy themselves, their football and the plans that we have.”

Rumors suggest Mahrez will leave the club in January and join one of the biggest clubs in England like Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs after Leicester City’s poor results this season.

Mahrez played a great role in Leicester City’s historic Premier League victory in 2016.
