CAIRO –27 October 2017: Ahmed Hegazi maintains a great reputation with West Bromwich, following his great performance last week despite their loss against Southampton 1-0.
Hegazi emerged as one of the consistent performers among West Bromwich players since joining on loan coming from Al-Ahly, leading his side defense in nine Premier Leagues so far and scoring the winner against Bournemouth in the opening game of the Premier League.
West Bromwich’s winger Nacer Chadli praised the Egyptian defender, saying, “Ahmed is a great player.” He commended his skills on the field, saying, “he is very strong in the air, and he has good skills. He is intelligent and can be very dangerous and can score goals.”
After McAuley’s strong return from his injury, Hegazi, who had participated in every Premier league game, may be partnered with the 38-year-old defender in the next matches.
“He is a good player for us to have. It’s important to keep everybody fit, and we’re counting on him,” Chadli added.
