CAIRO – 25 October 2017: West Ham United’s manager, Slaven Bilić, admitted on Tuesday that his position in West Ham is threatened after the team’s poor results this season.

“Now I am having a hard time, yes I am. That does not scare me," Bilić told the press on Tuesday.

West Ham struggle this season in the Premier League as the team only collected eight points after nine games in the league; West Ham share the 18th place with Stoke City and Everton.

Bilić insisted that this situation does not frighten him; he said “I am never, never, never walking away. I never walked away in my life; it is my job and a job I like to do especially in a place that I feel, after my hometown, is like few other places, you are treated special.”

Bilić represented West Ham as a player for a year and a half as he joined the club in January 1996 from the German club, Karlsruher SC; and left the club in August 1997 to join Everton. Bilić has been West Ham’s manager since 2015.
