Ryan Giggs interested in Everton, Leicester coach role

CAIRO – 25 October 2017: Ryan Giggs is back after spending several months away from the scene. He publicly confirmed his interest in training in the Premier League, after the short experience he enjoyed at Manchester United.

"There are clubs who would be interested," the Welshman told Sky Sports, referring to Everton and Leicester, who, after the dismissal of Ronald Koeman and Craig Shakespeare, are looking urgently for a new manager.

"I think you look at those two teams – Leicester being champions two seasons ago; Everton being a fantastic club with a fantastic history. For me these are clubs I would be interested in,” said Giggs. In July 2016, he left Manchester United following Louis Van Gaal and knowing that the club had chosen José Mourinho as new coach.

"I've said all along that I'd be open to clubs which share my ambitions. I want to improve clubs and improve players, to enjoy working for them and for players to enjoy the challenge,” said Giggs.

From there, Giggs, who had left the playground to be an assistant to Van Gaal after occupying the place of dismissed David Moyes in Old Trafford, decided to take a sabbatical year. He was still very attentive to any offer that might interest him.

"Obviously Everton spent a lot of money, while Leicester's owners' expectations were higher than what they achieved," said Giggs. He curiously rejected an offer from MK Dons in the English third category.
