CAIRO – 21 October 2017: Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho insulted Chelsea manager Antonio Conte after Manchester United defeated Benfica 1-0 on Wednesday.

"I never talk about injuries; others are just crying and crying when a player is injured," Mourinho told press after the game.

Mourinho added, “I can cry for the next five minutes if you like. We don't have Zlatan, Pogba, Fellaini and Marcos Rojo.”

The words of the Portuguese coach reached London quickly, where Chelsea had just ended their game against Roma with a 3-3 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Conte replied to Mourinho’s statements, saying, "If those words refer to me, I think he should first think about his team, not others," Conte said.

The Italian coach added, "Mourinho often looks at what is happening at Chelsea. He already did it last season; so he should focus on what happens on his team."

Mourinho is one of the historic managers of Chelsea, but he was sacked in 2016 after a poor start. Conte started managing Chelsea in the 2016 summer and led the club in his first year to win the Premier League title.
