Bibo applies for Al Ahly presidency

CAIRO – 20 October 2017: Mahmoud El Khatib submitted his candidacy for president of Al Ahly SC at its headquarters on Friday morning.

Khatib, commonly known as Bibo, is running against several other candidates in the upcoming eelection, slated for November 30.

Other candidates inclue Al Amri Farouq (vice chairman), Khalid Al Darandli (treasurer), Rania Alwani, Khaled Murtaji, Ibrahim Al Kafrawi, Tareq Qandil, Mohamed Al Damati, Gohar Nabil (overage members), and Mohamed Al Garhy, Mohamed Serag Eldin and Muhannad Magdy (underage members).

Bibo was one of the greatest players who wore the red Al Ahly jersey and the Egyptian national team in the seventies and the mid-eighties. He is the most talented Egyptian player to wear the number 10 jersey.
