CAIRO – 18 October 2017: Jose Mourinho, Manchester United`s coach, congratulated Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Salah before the Manchester-Liverpool clash in the Premier League. The match ended in a goalless draw.
The video from the official Facebook page of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) shows that Mourinho waited for Salah to come out from the dressing room, and then he gave him a very warm congratulation in the Anfield corridor.
Salah scored the two goals in Egypt’s 2-1 victory over Congo, securing Egypt’s qualification to the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The qualification came after 28 years of absence. Egypt last qualified to the World Cup in 1990 in Italy.
Jose Mourinho coached Salah back in 2014 with Chelsea when he insisted on signing the Egyptian youngster from FC Basel.
Salah featured in 19 matches (879 minutes), scored two goals, and provided 4 assists with the Blues.
