CAIRO – 17 October 2017: The draw for the 2018 World Cup European play-offs was held in the Swiss city of Zurich Tuesday with the participation of eight European teams.
The participating teams in the draw are the best eight teams occupying the second place in their groups of the European qualifiers for the World Cup and those teams are: Croatia, Denmark, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Sweden and Switzerland.
The draw was held at FIFA Headquarters at Zurich, and the following teams will face each other:
Northern Ireland vs. Switzerland
Croatia vs. Greece
Denmark vs. Ireland
Sweden vs. Italy
The first leg matches will be held from November 9-11 at the stadiums of the countries mentioned first, and the second leg will be from November 12 - 14.
