CAIRO –16 October 2017: Nine years ago, Al Ahly won the sixth African Champions League title after winning over Coton Sport FC de Garoua in the final in 2008, with a total score of 4-2.

Al Ahly played the game on November 16, 2008 at Stade Omnisport de Garoua, Cameroon, in the second leg of the African Champions League final, after winning the first leg 2-0.

The match saw Al Ahly advance through Ahmed Hassan’s goal in the 38th minute of the first half, before Coton equalized with a goal by Lasana Abdalkarim in the 45th minute.

The cotton players managed to score the second goal in the 63rd minute through Ousmaila Baba, before Shady Mohammed scored the equalizer through a penalty in the 89th minute.

Al Ahly played the game with legendary midfielders, with the presence of Mohammed Aboutrika next to Mohammed Barakat and Ahmed Hassan behind the striker Flávio Amado.
