CAIRO – 16 October 2017 – Al Ahly faces El Raja Matrouh in the third week of the Egyptian Premier League on Monday at Al Salam Stadium at 7 p.m.
The champions of the previous version of the Egyptian Premier League, Al Ahly, are going to meet El Raja, the team that recently joined the Premier League from the second division, in a delayed match from the third week of the Egyptian League.
Al Ahly has played only two matches in the local league because of the national breaks, as the league stops during the African qualifiers to the World Cup, in addition to Al Ahly’s matches in the African Champions League. Al Ahly is now in 13th place with four points.
Meanwhile, El Raja is in last place, as the team has no points from the four games it had played. The team was expected to have good results with the start of the competition because of its coach Emad El Nahas, who had great results with Aswan SC when he had managed the team.
Hossam El Badry, Al Ahly’s head coach, has chosen 20 players for the game: Mohamed Al Shenawy, Ahmed Adel, Ali Maloul, Ramy Rabiea, Saad Samir, Moamed Hany, Ahmed Fathy, Hossam Ashour, Mo’men Zakaria, Junior Ajayi, Walid Azarou, Ahmed Hamoudy, Ahmed El Sheikh, Mohamed Naguib, Karim Walid, Ahmed Yasser Rayan, Amr Al Soulaya, Mohamed Gaber, Hussein El Sayed, Saleh Gomaa and Akram Tawfiq, according to Youm7.
