Suarez: “We deserved more than a point”

CAIRO – 15 October 2017: “We deserved to take all three points. After being behind for almost the entire game, it's not a bad point," Luis Suarez told the press after the game.

Barcelona striker, Suarez, scored a goal for Barcelona against Atletico Madrid on Saturday to help his team equalize the score board, but Suarez believed that Barcelona deserved more than a point.

Atletico Madrid scored the first goal of the game 20 minutes in, with a strike from Saul Niguez, while Luis Suarez managed to score the equalizing goal at the 82nd minute.

Suarez added, “It also comes against one of our rivals that will be fighting for the league."

Suarez, 30, praised Atletico Madrid’s performance, saying “everyone knows that Atletico defends very well and has a great goalkeeper that shows up in every game."

Barcelona stayed on top after the draw with 22 points, and Atletico Madrid placed third in the table with 16 points.
