CAIRO – 13 October 2017: The Portuguese club FC Porto announced on Thursday that they have reached an agreement with their Cameroonian striker, Vincent Aboubakar, to renew his contract with the club until 2021.

“The president (Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa) led this negotiation with the player's agents and with Lorient. It was not easy at all," Porto financial administrator Fernando Gomes told the club website after signing the contract.

Aboubakar, 25, started his career in Cameroon with Coton Sport when he was just 14 and he got promoted to the first team at 17.

In 2013, Vincent moved to Lorient where he scored 17 goals in his only season with the club.

Aboubakarsigned a 4-year contract with Porto in 2014 and played with Porto for three years before moving to Turkey to play for Besiktas on a one year loan.
