CAIRO – 11 October 2017:Two days after Andrea Pirlo announced his retirement at the end of this season, Brazilian midfielder Ricardo Kaka, whose contract with Orlando City ends in December, announced his intention to end his football career.

"I no longer enjoy playing football and I am tired," he explained as his main argument.
His future wants to direct him to the bench, taking the figure of Zinedine Zidane as an example.

"It would be a good idea to do as he did: complete the coaching courses and start with the lower categories. I would like to do it," Kaka stated, who did not reveal whether he would like to carry out that road in Real Madrid or start in Brazil.

"I suffer a lot of pain when I finish a game. Playing is no longer a pleasure for me," said the former Real Madrid player, recalling in an interview with Globo Esporte that "I am 35 years old and it is not like before" and implying that his withdrawal "is very close."

Kaka made his intentions public after confirming the failure of his team, Orlando City, in the regular season of Major League Soccer (MLS), which remained for the third consecutive year outside the play-offs despite having the Brazilian player in its ranks, who was the best paid of the entire competition with a salary of $7.2 million.

The 35-years-old signed for three seasons upon his arrival from Sao Paulo in 2015, and in view of the club's decision and his inability to maintain his status on another MLS team, he accepted retirement to start a run for the bench.
