CAIRO – 07 October 2017: Spain qualified to the 2018 World Cup in Russia after beating Albania 3-0 in another great match of Julen Lopetegui's men.

Gerard Piqué was again the protagonist in being in the center of fans’ eyes. This time, he received more whistles than applause while he was in the field, but when being replaced by Nacho, he received an ovation from the public, who stood up to bid him farewell.

The weather was not as tense as on other occasions and especially had nothing to do with what was breathed during the training of Spain before the match.

Spain entered the game with a very high pace. The ball circulated very fast from side to side with Alvaro Odriozola flying in the right lane and a very incisive Jordi Alba from the left.

Albania was overwhelmed everywhere, and in eleven minutes came three goals that broke the clash. Valencia player Rodrigo scored first with an excellent pass from Isco.

Real Madrid`s magician, Isco, managed to score second after another great combination and final pass from Silva, while Thiago Alcantara, Bayern`s midfielder, made the third goal with an impeccable header.

The moment of the match came within a half hour from the end. Lopetegui wanted to give Piqué a rest, so he was replaced by Nacho.

The public rose from their chairs and cheered the Catalan, who returned the applause to the public of Alicante. Two intense days of scolding, whistles and applause ended happily.
