Sacchi praises Florentino Perez

CAIRO – 7 October 2017 : Former Italian manager Arrigo Sacchi praised current Real Madrid President Florentino Perez, describing him as a changed man.

“I really like Florentino [Perez], because he is always changing and improving," Sacchi told press on Friday during an event in London.

Sacchi worked with Perez in 2004 when Sacchi was Real Madrid’s director of football during Perez’s presidency.

Sacchi added, “He's like [Silvio] Berlusconi; he always aims for the best. Before he loved big names, but now he is changing."

Berlusconi was AC Milan’s president who believed in Sacchi and gave him the opportunity to coach AC Milan.

Sacchi praised Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane’s tactics, saying, “Zidane has been a huge surprise, because not only do they win, but they are playing well with positive and compact football all working together."

Zidane led Real Madrid to two consecutive Champions League titles in 2016 and 2017 in his first time coaching a first team.
