CAIRO – 6 October 2017 – Bayern Munich has officially announced on its website on Friday the signing of Jupp Heynckes as the new coach until the end of the season, replacing Carlo Ancelotti.

Jupp Heynckes is one of the most honorable coaches for the team, as he made many achievements and successes with Bayern, especially that he won the historic trio (the German League, the German Cup, the Champions League) in 2013, which made him hold a big place in the hearts of the fans of Bayern. Heynckes joined Bayern Munich’s coaching staff for the first time in 1987 and left the team on October 8, 1991. He returned back in 2009, but this time it only lasted for one month. He then returned in 2011 and left the club again on June 30, 2013 after achieving the trio. So it will be the fourth time for Heynckes to join Bayern Munich’s coaching staff in his career, according to the Transfer Markt website.

The German club has sacked veteran Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti from the team after the team lost to Paris Saint Germain with three goals and no reply in the group stage of the Champions League last week, especially after the weak performance of the German team under his leadership recently, which disappointed the fans of Bayern.
