Andres Iniesta signs contract ‘for life’ with Barcelona

CAIRO – 06 October 2017 :The captain of FC Barcelona, Andrés Iniesta, appeared Friday afternoon with the president of the club, Josep Maria Bartomeu, to sign his contract, which links him to Barcelona “for life”.

The signing of the contract took place Friday at 12:30 p.m. at the President Suñol Stage of Camp Nou.

Andres Iniesta spoke to the press, saying, "I thank the president and the club, the fans and the whole world for the love, the respect, that they show me. Let's not confuse things; the title 'for life' does not mean that it will be for being, because it is not my way of acting. As soon as I do not see the strength or importance I have had, we will always change our ideas. To this day, gratitude is brutal because it gives me confidence."

With the renewal of 33-year-old Iniesta, the next goal by the Catalan club will be to capture a photo of the renovation of the best player in the world, Leo Messi.
