CAIRO – 3 October 2017: Everton coach Ronald Koeman has the support of club owner Farhad Moshiri and the players, despite the team's poor results.
Everton is placed 16th in the table of the Premier League with seven points in seven games.
Koeman said he has the support of his players. He told Jim White on his talk show TalkSport that the owner of Everton contacted him to tell him that the coach's position is not in danger.
"The players are still with me," Koeman said of the team's performance crisis, which is only two points above the relegation zone.
Despite poor performance, Everton remains the only club that has not lost against leaders Manchester City, when they ended their match with a 1-1 draw at Etihad Stadium in the second round of the Premier League.
