CAIRO – 1 October 2017: Al Ahly faces Tunisian club, Etoile du Sahel, in CAF Champions League semi-finals on Sunday 7:30 p.m. Cairo Local Time (CLT) at Stade Olympique de Sousse in Tunisia. Al Ahly hopes to return from this stadium with a victory that qualifies them to the CAF Champions League finals.
Egyptian teams visited Stade Olympique de Sousse 12 times, but none of them returned to Egypt with a victory.
Al Ahly’s manager, Hossam El Badry, has to find a replacement midfielder for Al Ahly’s captain, Hossam Ashour who will miss the game due to an injury.
Al Ahly is expected to start the game with a 4-3-3 formation, and a line-up consisting of Sherif Ekramy, Ramy Rabia, Saad Samir, Ahmed Fathi, Ali Maaloul, Hesham Mohamed, Amr El Solia, Abdullah Said, Walid Soliman, Walid Azaro, and Junior Ajayi.
Al Ahly qualified to this stage after eliminating another Tunisian team, Esperance, in the quarter finals.
