CAIRO –30September 2017: Chelsea’s striker Alvaro Morata praised his teammate Eden Hazard, Chelsea’s midfielder, as they led their team’s front line in their match against Atletico Madrid in the second round of the Champions League.
After the match, held at Wanda Metropolitan, Atletico’s new stadium, Morata told the press: "It's not difficult playing with this kind of player. He's one of the best three players in the world, and it's easy for me to play with him."
Hazard crossed the ball to Morata, for the Spaniard to score, with the Spaniard heading it home to cancel out Antoine Griezmann's opener in the Blues' 2-1 win over
in the UEFA Champions League.
“My start at this club does not seem real. In the first official match, I made a mistake (missing a penalty in the shoot-out as
), and I suffered for a few days. People didn’t see the situation, but I grew up, showed my strength of character and, now, things are okay. I hope to continue like this.”
The former Real Madrid player was featured in eight matches for Chelsea and scored seven goals in all competitions.
