Benjamin Mendy Knee ligament injury confirmed

CAIRO – 30 September 2017: Manchester City confirmed on Thursday the injury of its defender, Benjamin Mendy.

Benjamin Mendy, City`s defender, will undergo a surgery on Saturday due to a ruptured knee injury he suffered from while playing for Manchester against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Mendy has travelled to Barcelona, Spain last week to determine the diagnosis and procedures to follow regarding his injury. Sadly, the ligaments were affected;

Manchester City suffered a big setback. The team’s coach, Pep Guardiola, was relying heavily on Mendy’s recent transfer.

Mendy transferred to the team fir €57 million ($67M) from Monaco, and despite missing out on the first few matches due to a muscle injury, his adaptation and impact on the team has been remarkable.
