Al Ahly prepares for Champions League semifinal

CAIRO – 26 September 2017: Al Ahly football team will hold its first training on Tuesday in preparation for the African Champions League semifinal against Etoile Du Sahel.

Training is set to begin at 6 p.m. Cairo local time at the sub-pitch of El Menzah Stadium. Ahly is scheduled to face Etoile Du Sahel next Sunday in the first leg match of the Champions League semifinal.

Every player in the squad list is expected to attend training, especially after the recovery of Saad Samir and Walid Azarou. Ahly football manager Sayed Abdel Hafiz has been checking El Menazah’s sub-pitch to assure that it is ready to host the team’s trainings before the team travels to Sousse on Thursday for the match.

Al Ahly qualified to the semifinals of the CAF Champions League after beating Esperance Sportive with an aggregate score of 4-3 over both legs off the quarterfinal.
