CAIRO – 26 September 2017 : West Bromwich Albion midfielder Gareth Barry entered the history of the Premier League when he participated in West Bromwich’s 0-2 loss to Arsenal , leading Premier League appearances with 633 games.

Barry, 36, surpassed Manchester United’s legend, Ryan Giggs, who featured in 632 games in the Premier League.

Barry’s journey in the Premier League started many years ago. He played his first game in the Premier League with Aston Villa in 1998.

Aston Villa is considered the club of Barry’s life, as he played for the club for 12 years, playing 365 games and scoring 41 goals for the club.

Barry moved from Aston Villa in 2009 to join the blue side of Manchester, Manchester City, representing the club for four years.

Barry played 132 games with Manchester City, scoring six goals. He touched the glory with Manchester City when he won the Premier League title with the club in 2012.

Barry, the voyager, moved from Manchester to Liverpool City, where he played four years for Everton, representing the club in 131 games and scoring five goals.

Barry’s last station was in West Midlands with West Bromwich Albion. He joined the club this summer, playing five games with the club, and his last one against Arsenal was his date with history.
