CAIRO – 25 September 2017: Arkadiusz Milik, Napoli striker, will undergo surgery on Monday due to a knee injury he suffered from while playing for Napoli in Serie A.
The Napoli forward was forced off the pitch at the second half during his club's 3-2 win over SPAL 2013. He was recently sent for a knee scan on Sunday.
The results of the scan showed Milik has ruptured the Anterior Cruciate Ligament in his right knee, meaning a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
He suffered a similar injury last season on his left knee, which sidelined him for nearly six months and 21 games of the season. The injury is making his desperate to return to his team again.
The striker was hoping for a good start in his season with Napoli, however after the previous injury have affected him a lot.
Milik moved to Serie A from Ajax at the start of the last season 2016. The 23-year-old was featured with Napoli in four matches. He has scored two goals at club level in all competitions this season during the Serie A and the Champions League.
