CAIRO – 23 September 2017: The Tunisian club, Esperance Sportive, will host on Saturday Al-Ahly club in the second leg match of the African Champions League in Rades at 08:00 p.m..

Al-Ahly faced off against Esperance Sportive last week at Borg Al Arab stadium in the first leg match of the CAF Champions League’s quarterfinal, which ended with a 2-2 draw.

The eight-time African champions, who last won the competition in 2013, need to win or at least draw 3-3 to book a spot in the semifinal of Africa’s biggest club competition.

Hossam El-Badry, head coach of Al-Ahly, said in the press conference on Friday that “the style of play of Al Ahly and all big teams does not change overnight. We will enter the game with our usual approach and I have confident in the abilities of all the players.”

Badry said that the team has good memories in Tunisia, pointing out that the game between Al-Ahly and Esperance on Saturday is an “early final” of the African Champions League.

On the other hand, The coaching staff and the officials of Esperance reject overconfidence, as they will face a big team like Al-Ahly which has previous precedents in stealing hopes from the Tunisian teams in the Champions League especially at Rades.

Esperance will be without their main goalkeeper, Moez Ben Cherifa, as he had a surgery on Wednesday. He is expected to return to his team in the next two weeks.

Badri announced his team's list to face Esperance which will be as follows:

The list includes 25 players:

Goalkeepers: Sherif Ikrami, Ahmed Adel Abdel Moneim, Mohamed El Shennawy.

Defenders: Saad Samir, Rami Rabia, Mohammed Nagib, Ahmed Fathi, Mohammed Hani, Ali Maaloul, Sabri Rahil, Hussein Al Sayed.

Midfielders: Hossam Ashour, Amr Soulia, Hisham Mohamed, Abdullah Al-Saeed, Saleh Gomaa, Karim Nedved.

Forwards: Walid Sulaiman, Mo'men Zakaria, Ahmed Hamoudi, Ahmed El Sheikh, Walid Azaro, Emad Meteb, Junior Ajayi, Mido Jaber.
