CAIRO - 21 September 2017: Al Ahly goalkeeper, Sherif Ekramy, stated on Thursday that he is ready to play on Saturday against Tunisia’s Esperence at the African Champions League quarter finals second leg.
“I totally forgot the mistake against Esperence and I am ready for the Saturday game,” Ekramy told Egypt Today from Tunisia.
Ekramy couldn’t save an easy shot from Esperence’s midfielder, Ghailene Chaaleli that led to Esperence’s second goal.
Ekramy added, “Al Ahly players can win the game on Saturday and qualify them to the semi finals.”
Al Ahly club invited their fans to attend Wednesday’s training session.
Al Ahly fans supported Ekramy and asked him to forget what happened in the first leg, focusing on the next game.
Al Ahly faces Esperence in Rades, Tunisia at the African Champions League quarter finals second leg. The first leg ended with a 2-2 draw in Alexandria on Saturday, September 16.
It is good to mention that Egyptian ambassador in Tunisia, Nabil El Habashy, welcomed Al Ahly’s delegation at Tunis Airport on Thursday morning.
