Mido: Al Ahly can defeat Esperance

CAIRO - 20 September 2017: Wadi Degla manager Ahmed Hossam, known as Mido, believes that Al Ahly players can secure a win over the Tunisian Esperance team in Rades when they meet on Saturday for the second leg of the African Champions League quarterfinal.

“Al Ahly players are able to defeat Esperance in Tunisia,” Mido said during an interview with ON Sport on Tuesday.

Mido, a former Zamalek player, added “Al Ahly players’ mistakes in the first leg won’t happen again in Tunisia.”

Esperance goes into the second leg in a better position than many had expected, with a 2-2 draw in the first leg.

“Al Ahly players were physically better than Esperance players especially in the second half, if they play like this in Tunisia they will win,” Mido said.

On the other hand, Al Ahly invited their fans to attend Wednesday’s training in Al Ahly’s training camp Mokhtar el Tetsh stadium to support the players before travelling to Tunisia.
